On October 19, the 2023 National Science, Technology and Standard Innovation Conference for Private Enterprises convened in Changsha, Hunan province.

The event released a series of rankings, including the lists for R&D input, invention patent of private enterprises and scientific innovation bases. West Taihu Lake Sci-Tech Industry Park joined the first batch of national scientific innovation bases for private enterprises, the only such park from Jiangsu.

West Taihu Lake Sci-Tech Industry Park, located in the core area of the Twin Lakes Innovation Zone, has an area of 70.5 square kilometers. It holds more than 7,600 market entities, 184 enterprises above designated size, and 180 high-tech companies. Moreover, 113 companies are designated as municipal-level enterprises supplying special, innovative and high-tech enterprises. Ten companies have been publicly listed at home or abroad.

In addition, nine enterprises from Changzhou, including Trina Solar, were ranked among top 500 private enterprises for R&D input. CALB and other ten companies entered the list of top 500 private enterprises for invention patents. Both numbers represented an increase over the previous year.
